For me to live is Christ and to die is gain... Indeed, your death is a gain, a gain of the glory and the higher life we all aspire to live one day in the hereafter. My mum, birthmate and confidant, you have fought a good fight and ran a good race. I didn't know we shared the same birthday until I had asked you to help cut my wedding cake and asked you to mother my outreach Ministry till it all became clear that yes indeed, mothers are for a reason. I thank God I got to meet you some close to 15years ago and since then I've not acted without your consent. Naa Adjeley Amankwaa Okantey will grow to be a woman you'd approve of and be rest assured she'd tutor her kid brother, Nii Adjetey Okantey, in the way of Christ. Fare thee well, Maa Vivian

Auntie Vivian, I haven't known you as long as some people have and so I'll be as brief as possible and rid this of any untruths. I've never called you Auntie, on the contrary, I always called you "shaayoo" meaning "My In-Law" on account of Naa Merley and the smile you'd give me in return is one to be saved in a time capsule for eternity. I think life did me wrong that I wasn't born 85yrs ago to give the dear professor stiff competition. I should have known you longer than this. I've always admired you from afar but getting close enough to talk to you on personal terms was a gift. You're a wonderful persona, Ma Alice. The positivity around you alone is so infectious sometimes I just want to come sit in your presence. Your words of encouragement and pieces of advice will be treasured. Your smile is a whole story for another day. I was at your 80th birthday and oh, it was a delight to see you taking the dance steps. It's quite unfortunate that I hoped for a dance with in when you turned 81 but alas, it was not to happen. I observed you in what will now be known as your last days, your dedication to God and His work. It was unparalleled!!! You were more than a tractor, a harvester and a combine harvester in the vineyard of the Lord and He alone knows why He has recalled such a powerful tool from the field. I told Naa Merley, we shouldn't cry. Why cry when we should share in your joy of being called to a higher service in a higher and better place??? I remember a saying that "brighten the corner you find yourself" and u, Mawuvi, have done that with your family, friends and church. We appreciate you because we know one like you is hard to come by. I promised to be brief but I've said more than enough. Every last sentence automatically drags another one behind it. I will end it here but not before I share our personal joke. Me: Shaayoo, nk3 ring l3 eba ee meaning "My in law, I've brought the ring" You: "Bo l3, kaafee oya, obaana norr nk3 Merley eha moko" meaning "if you don't hurry up, before you'll know it I've given Merley to someone else" To which we would both laugh at my feeble attempts at protest. Sleep well, Ma Vivian Sleep well, nshaayoo Yaa wo ojogbaan, Mawuvi
